PEANUT TOFFEE is a crunchy delicious snack. Only three ingredients are needed to making this Toffee. Always every one enjoys the crunchiness of this snack.
First of all I heat one cup of peanut in low flame and when it becomes peel off the skins.
Press the cleaned peanut with a steel utensil to crush it lightly and keep it aside.
We can use pure natural jaggery for making the peanut toffee otherwise the texture will not be perfect. I got a chance to get the traditional Marayoor Jaggery.
This is pure and I added 3/4 cup crushed jaggery in the heavy bottom pan with the help of 1 table spoon water and let it boil in a low flame. If jaggery has impurities strain it while it is boiling .
And stir it till it gets a brittle consistency when it is off the heat
Then added peanuts in the jaggery syrup and mix together as well.
Meantime spread a little ghee in the plate and on a rolling pin. This is done so that the mixture doesnot stick. Pour the mixture in the plate and roll it evenly.
Meanwhile cut the toffees into desired shape and let it cool when it cools down enjoy the crunchiness.
- 1 cup peanut
- 3/4 cup jaggery
- Little ghee
- Heat and dry fry the peanut.
- Peel the skins.
- Heat the crushed jaggery with one tbsp water.
- When Jaggery syrup become gets a brittle consistency when it’s off the heat add the dried peanut and mix well.
- Pour in a ghee spreaded dish and roll it using a rolling pin evenly and cut it into desired shapes.
