CHICKEN LEG PIECE MASALA

Chicken leg piece masala is very delicious and it’s especially good with chapati and white rice. Thick gravy make our taste buds feel good. I bought 1 chicken so obviously there were only two legs I added 4 other boneless pieces in the dish.

Chicken leg pieces ready to marination.
Ingredients needed for gravy and marination
Curd
Tomato puree
Mix 1/2 of the powdered ingredients together with little curd and marinate pieces for ten minutes.
Half frying chicken
After frying the chicken add sliced onions in the rest of the oil and saute till it becomes golden in color
Add the rest of the powders in the oil and tomato puree
Half fried chicken and blended ingredients adding the sauted ingredients
Cook it fir 10 minutes in low flame when the gravy becomes thick drizzle oil on the top
Garnish with coriander leaves and enjoy

INGREDIENTS

  1. 2 chicken leg pieces
  2. 2 onion chopped
  3. 1 tbsp chili powder
  4. 1 tbsp coriander powder
  5. 1 tbsp gingergarlic paste
  6. 1 tomato puree
  7. 1 tsp all spice powder
  8. Pinch turmeric powder
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 2 tbsp curd
  11. Coriander leaves

METHOD

  • Marinate the chicken leg pieces with 1/2 tbsp chili powder, 1/2 tbsp coriander powder, little spice power, pinch turmeric, 1/2 tsp gingergarlic paste and salt. Keep it for 10 minutes.
  • Half fry the chicken and remove it from the fire.
  • Golden fry the onion in the rest of oil. When onion cools back down blend it with curd.
  • Add the rest of gingergarlic paste and rest of the powdered ingredients in the oil and after that pour the tomato puree then for saute two to three minutes then put the fried chicken pieces and blended ingredients and add required salt.
  • Cook it in a low flame till the oil spread on top.

    I always think that chicken legs get a bit overlooked but I think I prefer them to breast which can get dry if you are not careful. I do like this rcipe, it looks delicious.
