This is a hot red chili chutney. Less ingredients are required for this. In the rainy season we eat it with rice soup(Kanji).

Sauted ingredients for chutney

  1. 15 red chili
  2. 10 shallot
  3. Small piece of tamarind
  4. 3 spring curry leaves
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 2 tbsp oil

  • Heat the oil then saute the redchili, shallot and curry leaves.
  • When the colour of chili turns a little dark add tamarind and salt saute a while then remove from the fire.
  • Let it cool. Then blend smoothly.

I have been known to put chilli flakes in scrambled eggs just to wake them up a bit.

I think that would be delicious! 😊

      3. Fergy. says:

It is, you should try it sometime. As well as the flavour it gives a pleasant look with the little red flakes throughout the egg.
