TOORDAL CABBAGE FRY

Toor dal is very easy to cook. This recipe is not hot.

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1/2 cup toor dal
  2. 1/4 kg cabbage sliced into 1 inch long
  3. 1 onion chopped
  4. 2 green chili slitted
  5. 1 inch ginger thinly chopped
  6. 2 clove garlic chopped
  7. Pinch turmeric powder
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1/4 tsp mustard
  10. 1/4 tsp cumin
  11. 2 tbsp veg.oil

METHOD

  • Cook toor dal till it is half cooked, only 5 minutes needed to cook. Remove from the fire.img-20190413-wa00111922551013.jpg
  • Heat the oil and add mustard, cumin and curry leaves to sputter. Add sliced onion, green chili, ginger and garlic. Saute it for two to three minutes.img_20190413_210736643772633.jpg
  • Then add the chopped cabbage and stir a while. Add half cooked toor dal and salt.
  • Simmer the flame. Saute inbetween.
  • Other wise it will be burnt. After three to five minutes it will be ready to serve.img-20190413-wa0019-1269366302.jpg
