PANEER MAKHANWALA

This dish gives an amazing taste to our taste buds. We can eat this with chappathi, rotti, nan.

WE NEED FOR PANEER MAKHANWALA

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1/4 kg paneer cubed and deep fried
  2. 3 onion
  3. 1 piece ginger
  4. 5 garlic cloves
  5. 3 tbsp tomato puree
  6. 1/2 tsp turmeric
  7. 1 tsp red chili powder
  8. 1 tsp garam masala
  9. 4 tbsp fresh cream
  10. 2 tbsp kasoori methi ( 1 tsp fenugreek powder)
  11. 2 tbsp butter
  12. 1/2 tsp sugar
  13. Salt to taste
  14. 4 tbsp vegetable oil

METHOD

  1. Deep fry paneer cubes to golden brown and keep aside.
  2. To prepare gravy, grind onion, ginger and garlic to a paste.
  3. Fry this paste in oil, on a low flame till golden.
  4. Add turmeric, red chili powder. Cook for 1/2 minute.
  5. Add tomato puree and cook for one minute.
  6. Add two cups of water and simmer the flame.
  7. Add sugar and simmer for another eight to ten minutes.
  8. Add cream and mix well.
  9. Add butter, kasoori methi leaves ( little fenugreek powder) and salt.
  10. Then gently stir in the fried paneer and simmer on a low flame for a few minutes till paneer turns soft.
