PIGEON PEA SPROUT THORAN

The seeds sprout when we alternate in soaking it and keeping it in a dry cotton towel . So I like to soak a single type seed in a bowl. Leave it one night and drain the water. Spray little water whenever neeed. Note that dried out sprouts are not going to grow. After 1 to 2 days pigeon pea sprouts break free. Soak, drain and rinse seeds at regular intervals until they germinate. Sprouts contain an unusually high content of living enzymes, boosts blood circulation, helps to reducing acidity…..

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 cup pigeon pea sprouts
  2. 1/2 cup coconut grated
  3. 1 green chili
  4. 3 garlic cloves
  5. 2 tbsp veg. oil
  6. 1/2 tsp mustard
  7. 2 shallot
  8. 1 spring curry leaves
  9. Pinch turmeric
  10. Salt to taste

METHOD

Cook the sprouts in a cooker with 1/2 to 1cup of water in medium flame with 2 to 3 whistles. Check if it cooked.

Then heat the oil in a pan and add mustard, curry leaves. When it sputters put sliced shallot in it and saute for half a minute then add the crushed ingredients in it and stir then put the pigeon peas sprouts and salt and mix with the ingredients.
