Parippuvada is a traditional evening snack in our state Kerala. Years back every tea shops beautified with this snack in glass shelf (almirah). This crunchy tasty snack and some jokes, world wide talk also accompanied with the tea shops. Very simple and easy to make. Crunchiness make more taste.

Oil for frying


Pre soak splitted peas two hours. Before we grind the dal drawn as much of water out in a stainer.

Grind dal and cumin. Then add the rest of ingredients. Mix well.

Make it into small balls. Flattern the top portion.

Heat enough oil in a frying pan, deep fry the parippuvada in a medium flame.

Till become golden brown flip the otherside and wait for golden brown. Then remove from the fire. About ten vadas we will get.
