Traditional foods are awesome and it will be passed onto the next generation Oh I forget to explain this curry’s ingredients.
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/2 kg white gourd chopped
- 2 green chili slitted
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 1 tsp cumin seed
2 tbsp coconut oil 6 shallots chopped, 2 red chili slitted,2 spring curry leaves.
Cook White gourd, ripe banana, slitted chili, salt, turmeric in a pan with one cup of water.
Blend Grated coconut, cumin and a pinch of mustard finely and it pour in the cooked ingredients. Then stir a while and add 1/2 cup of curd. Stir and remove from the fire, if not taken it will form curd.
Heat the next pan and add the 9th ingredients one by one, saute it till it becomes golden then pour it into the curry.
Now KICHADI is ready to serve
