I like this sweet halwa, because of the taste. This tasty healthy halwa I am now going to share with my friends.

I am applying slow pressure cooker method.

Preparation – Easy

Time 20 – 25


1 Cup grated carrot (1/2 kg)

2 Cup milk

1/2 Cup sugar

2 tbsp ghee

1/2 tbsp cardamom


1/2 tbsp raisins. If available we can use cashew nuts, pista, almonds. Mix 1 to 4 ingredients in the cooker. Simmer the flame. Then cook. After twenty minutes, open the lid to check if water is in it or has turned into vapour . If there is water take another five minutes to desiccate the water. When water is gone add raisins and cardamom powder. Yummy CARROT HALWA is ready to serve.

Carrots contains VITAMIN A it is rich in ANTIOXIDENTS and NUTRIENTS. Early study suggest that vegetables and fruits like carrot reduce the risk of cancer and cardiovascular diseases and carrot is rich in fiber.
