Steamed food is very healthy and helps to maintain our body.

Things we need

2 cup – wheat flour

1/2    – cup water


Add salt in the water and sprinkle the water in the wheat flour carefully and make small lumps. Do not pour water in the flour that will make big lumps.

Steamed wheat flour with coconut

Place a steamer with water to boil. Alternatively add flour and coconut until it fills the putmaker. Then steam the wheat flour for about 5 to 7 minutes. Take out from the put maker.

Ripe Banana

Tasty steamed wheat ready to serve. But we need a side dish for the putt. We can adjust with ripe banana if time is short. Other wise while we have time for spending we can make channa masala or some thing like that. Today I sharing black channa masala for you.INGREDIENTS

2 cup black channa 2 onion sliced 1 tomato sliced 2 tbsp gingergarlic paste 1 green chilly slitted 1 tbsp red chilli powder 1 tbsp corriander powder 1 tsp garam masala 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

Soak black chick pea or channa about 8 to 12 hours. Wash it. Keep aside.


Heat the oil in the pan, add mustard and cumin and let it sputter. Then add sliced onion, green chilli, curry leaves. Saute it well. When the colour becomea golden add the gingergarlic paste into the pan and saute for about one minute. Put sliced tomato and stir for a few minutes simmer the flame add chilli and corriander powders, garam masala and turmeric.

Add the channa into the masala. Add enough water and allow to cook in the pressure cooker. After three, four whistles, pour coconut milk in the curry and saute for a while then switch it off. Tasty side dish ready.
