Green Gram Sweet Balls (Suhian)


Green gram or mung beans are high source of nutrients, high in protein, resistant starch and dietary fiber.


Cooked green gram – 3 cup

Jaggery syrup – 1 cup

Grated coconut – 1 cup

Cardamom powder – 1/2 tea spoon

Cumin powder – 1/2 tea


Salt – a pinch

Oil for frying

For batter

Flour 1 1/2 cup

Rice flour – 1/2 cup

Salt – a pinch

Mix the flour, rice flour and salt together to make a thick batter.

Cooking Method

Add Grated coconut, jaggery syrup and cooked green gram heat in a pan and when the mix becomes dry remove from the fire and add cumin, cardamom powder. Make small balls with this mix.

Dip the balls in the batter and fry.
